After playing at countless clubs and festivals with our original band, we were given the privilege of performing at some massive corporate events. It was here that we witnessed a need for the excitement of dance music at luxury events when booking live music in Vancouver. Sure, everyone loves hearing tunes they know - hits are hits - but the undeniable raw intensity and sound quality of dance music just gets people moving. Thus, the birth of the DESTINEAK Luxury Event DJ Duo, where you rock out to your favourite songs remixed live with today's best DJ sounds.  Christina Sing and Bobby James are two of Vancouver's most experienced and sought after DJ's. During your event, we both tag team to DJ every genre from Latin, hip hop, to Top 40, and at peaks in the evening, we perform live vocals and drums of remixed pop anthems. We present this gorgeous band performance of 'When You Love Somebody' shot by the one and only cinematographer Cliff Hokanson, who built a custom spinning camera rig to capture everything! This video combines underground graffiti landscapes, beautiful sunsets, drums, fashion, geometric dancers and fire! It’s been a while since DESTINEAK has released a performance music video, as we’ve been creating lots of narratives. For this one we went for candy candy candy : ) Thank you to the folks at Creative BC for helping fund this video and other ventures this past year! We are eternally grateful! The music industry has been quite the formidable force to contend with lately. If we’ve been friends for some time, you will remember all the ups and downs of record deals, radio hits, tours, video shoots, and other trials and triumphs we’ve had to endure to stand here as a band after all these years. You know what we are super grateful for? This one unchanging commodity: LIVE PERFORMANCE. Thanks to the powers that be, we've always had a steady stream of shows, and a stage to speak from. No matter what routes we’ve had to take to get our music heard, this one has been the most consistent and rewarding. Obviously we are still releasing new music, making music videos, and shamelessly promoting ourselves online and to radio… Duh. You gotta play the game. But what this rant is leading to, is our epiphany as a recording act… That we are not JUST that… We, DESTINEAK, are also a live stage production team, who will always push the boundaries of entertainment. It is incredibly serendipitous that we also live in Vancouver, and get to share the spotlight with the most elite performance artists, acrobats, dancers, sound & lighting technicians, make up artists, costume designers, and musicians. Pretty lucky we’d say!
